Spiny tree or shrub, 4-10 m high, leaflets 2-4 times as long as wide, coriaceous, pinnae (1-)2-4-jugate; pods glabrous. Fl. green-yellow, Feb or Jul to Sep. Red alluvial soil, sand, loam, clay. Coastal plain, tidal flats, banks of water courses, paddocks.
