Rhizomatous, tufted perennial, grass-like or herb (sedge), 0.4-0.6 m high. Fl. brown, Apr to Jun. Loam, red sandstone and quartzite. Damp habitats, pools, drainage lines, claypans. Distribution: Northern. CK, DL, NK, OVP and VB.
