Erect perennial, herb, 0.25-0.35 m high, leaves elliptical-spathulate, 5-25 mm long, 2-10 mm wide; spike pink, ovoid-hemispherical, 10-20 mm long, 12-20 mm wide; bracts 7.5-8.5 mm long; bracteoles 7-8 mm long 12-20 mm wide; tepals 11-15 mm long; 2 fertile stamens, 3 staminodes; ovary hairy; style curved, 3.5-4 mm long, eccentrically fixed to ovary. Fl. pink, May to Sep. Distribution: Eremaean. COO and GVD.
