Erect, near glabrous perennial, herb, to 1 m high. Fl. yellow, Aug to Sep or Nov. Brown sand or loam, gritty brown clayey sand over granite, limestone. Coastal dunes, rock platforms, salt lake margins, river beds, drainage lines. Distribution: Eremaean and South-west. COO and HAM. AW, ESP, MAL and SWA.
