Rhizomatous, perennial, herb, 0.5-3 m high. Fl. yellow-green/brown-red, Nov to Dec or Jan. Grey or yellow sand, clay, gravel. Drainage lines, fringing wetlands, roadside gutters. Distribution: South-west. ESP, JF, SWA and WAR.
