Erect or ascending annual or perennial (short-lived), herb, 0.2-1 m high. Fl. white/yellow & orange, Jan to Aug or Nov. Often on skeletal soils over quartzite, basalt or sandstone. Variety of habitats. Distribution: Northern and Eremaean. CK, DL, NK, OVP and VB. CR, GSD, LSD and TAN.
